In reality, these represent three distinct modes of utilizing the mind, ranging from the individual level to contact with the cosmic mind, and finally to the state "beyond the Mind" through complete absorption in the Absolute. These states can be experienced by all living beings, even though different cultures may refer to them by different names. Father Anthony Elenjimittam developed a unique and scientifically viable path to help all of humanity realize the single Reality underlying all of creation.
The flyer and the explanatory brochure for the meditation program can be downloaded here (see sidebar), while the dates and locations of the meetings will be updated periodically. Naturally, the teaching holds no value unless the individual participant maintains the practice outside of the scheduled meetings. Meetings serve as an opportunity to work together and discuss the most important questions; however, moments of meditation must ultimately be found and cultivated individually, even though communal practice is certainly the most fulfilling.
Alberto Severi — whom Father Anthony called "my son" — has made himself available to teach and practice meditation wherever he is invited, following the very example of the Father, who went wherever his presence was requested.
The journey will begin with "simple meditations" as taught by Father Anthony himself, before delving into various types of meditation from diverse spiritual traditions. At the same time, participants will come to understand and realize the foundational "quintessence" of this ancient practice — a practice that allows us to access the “Sancta Sanctorum”, the impersonal Self, the Absolute, the One without a second, the Brahman of the Indo-Vedic tradition, the Nirvana of the Buddhist tradition...
According to Father Anthony’s teachings, it is essential to combine study with meditative practice. This ensures a full understanding of the journey unfolding within us — within our very being — and prepares us to respond correctly to the daily challenges posed by the contemporary Western world.
Classic sacred texts from various traditions will be drawn upon to consciously reach that "Quintessence" — which the Father viewed as a personal attainment for every human being. Instruction is offered on a voluntary donation basis, in accordance with the practice of the greatest Masters — from Jesus to Daskalos and Father Anthony himself. Spirituality cannot be mixed with materiality; doing so inevitably "taints" the former with the latter. As Jesus himself said, "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's." Daskalos himself performed healings and miracles in the name of God and the Holy Spirit without ever asking for payment, as he lived on his pension. Similarly, Father Anthony hosted and helped those who visited his Meditation Center in Assisi for years without ever asking for anything (though he did accept voluntary donations, all of which went to the St. Catherine of Siena School and Orphanage in Mumbai).
The depth of the meditative experience must be free from financial contracts; otherwise, it becomes nothing more than a pleasant fantasy or a scam. Therefore, at every gathering we organize, there will always be a basket to collect voluntary donations intended to support the impoverished and orphaned children at the St. Catherine of Siena School and Orphanage in Mumbai — the school founded in 1957 by Father Anthony himself, which we continue to support through our mission.
